My First Half Marathon Experience: Daniele Cortesi

Woke up early, and went out for a 21 km run... At the beginning, I started off with the interval training or Fartlek, which is run-walk-run. It seemed easy at first, but 21 km is still 21 km. Gained some good pace, dotted with some small talk between the Fartlek series. After the first half (reached Dubagga from IIML), it was time to step up the pace. I had to get to class in less than an hour and still about 10 km to go. Now less talk, more km! Honestly, during the run I always thought "No! No! Tired... time to stop or decrease speed".. but I have to admit, I never gave up. In the end, after the half marathon, the soul and the body cherishes the best feeling you wouldn't ever get after a couple of hours of any other sport. Do Try it !
